Chest Mimic

The bane of adventurers everywhere, the Chest Mimic. More than one adventurers has lost his life (or hand) in their search for treasure. If your adventuring group doesn't have a Wizard to detect creatures or a Rogue to find traps, it's worth treating any chest you find as a possible mimic. Get an long pole or branch and poke it from afar, or throw a rock to see if moves, but most importantly send the most annoying person in your group to open it.
